The Main Gallery is a large, light, and versatile space that can host a great variety of exhibitions and events.

High ceilings, moveable walls and state-of-the-art lighting makes this space perfect for shows, openings or public events.

Mainly used for exhibitions by local New Zealand artists, the space is suited for smaller shows and events, and can easily be darkened for video installations and film showing.

For major shows, the Main Gallery extends into this space.

Accessible from the main and small galleries, this space can be used as part of either the Gallery or as a third gallery. With fresh and revolving exhibitions of new works from Waiheke artists regularly exhibited here, it works well as artists are often available to talk about their practice, with some of them also featured in our Art Map.
