Waita is so happy to discover she was named after the Whetu (star) of Matariki. She is over the moon she now has a public holiday to celebrate her birthday. She loves wearing her hat and has taken a personal responsibility to reflect and ask for protection for the oceans and our seafood resources. She dreams that one day all people will care as much as she.
