Exploring how memory is shaped by omission and embellishment, my sculpture transforms a childhood reminiscence into abstract physical form. Materialising this memory challenges my understanding of recollection, and by extension, reality. The neon glow and pastel graduations induced by the materials evoke nostalgia for the 1980s, when this memory formed.
