Waiheke Community Art Gallery presents an exhibition celebrating Wonderful Waiheke Women and 125 years of Women’s Suffrage.
Nominations from the Waiheke Community for women to include in this celebration continues throughout the duration of the exhibition, let's fill the walls with their names and herstory's!
Screening are the documentaries 'Tea, Scones and Nuclear Disarmament" & 'Departure and Return' directed by Claudia Pond-Ely and Susie Newborn, featuring many familiar faces and Waiheke personalities. If you would like to watch a film from the beginning just let a staff member know and we can re-set it from the start.
Also in the Annex view a display by Lyndsay Meager profiling 4 Waiheke artists, Jan Nigro, Vanessa Ryan, Catherine Mitchell and Zinni Douglas.
Nominations need to be supported by two or three sentences detailing the reasons for nomination and be accompanied by a photo or drawing of the nominee that supports or shows involvement that relates to the reasons for nomination or at a time when they were most influential.
