Being a not-for-profit organisation, we primarily exist on the goodwill of our loyal supporters via donations, patronage, memberships, sponsorships and grants. We could not operate without our wonderful team of enthusiastic volunteers, some of whom have been with us for years!
Volunteers may be asked to assist with the day-to-day front desk activities at the gallery, dispatch parcels, assist to put up and take down exhibitions, help host openings and generally carry out useful tasks on any given day.
Naturally our volunteers come and go, depending on the events in their lives, so we are always looking for new, enthusiastic people to help us out.
Whether you can offer a day or a few hours - weekly, fortnightly or monthly, we would love to hear from you. We look for people who will enjoy engaging with our broad range of NZ and international visitors, have an interest in art and who don’t mind rolling up their sleeves and doing whatever is needed.
