ALT/ ENERGY KINETICS during Art Out There 2010

Invitations To Participate in : A display of Alternative Energy powered garden sculptures as part of Art Out There 2010 (in conjunction with the Jassy Dean Garden Safari)
Venue: Brigitte & Benoit Houvenagel have a small holding at Awaawaroa Bay, 326 Orapiu Rd. Participants are asked to send contact details and working drawings to the Waiheke Community Art Gallery. Assesors from the Waste Resource Trust and the gallery will select on the basis of practicality, feasibility, orginality and aesthetic appeal. Works will be for sale with 25% to the gallery. Help may be available for materials and construction. Use of recycled materials wherever possible is encouraged. For further details please contact Nora West on 021 877910.

Walker & Hall Waiheke Art Award 2010

Submissions are invited for The Walker and Hall Waiheke Art Award 2010. This is the gallery's major annual award exhibition. This years selector is Sara Hughes. This award is for Two Dimensional work in any medium. The Award Prize is $5,000 and up to two Merit Awards are also presented. Entry forms are available at the gallery and a pdf will be available soon. Past winners have been Barbara Von Seida for "Te Mata' in 2009, Rebecca Wallis for 'Fold' in 2008, Kushana Bush for 'Love Painting' in 2007, and Simon Esling for his Untitled work in 2006.
