Before coming to Waiheke in the mid 1990s I studied with Bill Buckley who taught me many things such as moving the eye around the canvas and the use of colour and depth. My current paintings are developments of a number of series I have been working on for several years.
I paint in oils in an abstract or semi-abstract, most works having a landscape quality.
The ever changing views of the Hauraki Gulf seen from my coastal home have a major influence on my work. My paintings are often based on a loose grid system and have been sold in a number of galleries. I am represented in both local and overseas collections.
