| WELCOME TO THE WAIHEKE
COMMUNITY ART GALLERY |
The Waiheke Community Art Gallery is a non- profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting visual arts and crafts in New Zealand, alongside the cultural activities of Waiheke Island. In the gallery we host up to 32 exhibitions a year which feature well known national artists as well as those from Waiheke, in a spacious, light and friendly environment.
Recent expansion has resulted in an enlarged Small Gallery and the addition of an Annex specially suited to Installation works.
Our aim is to make art accessible and enjoyable for everyone, young and old.
Feature events during our calendar year include the prestigious Walker and Hall Art Award, the Waiheke Design Award, the Ceramic Award and the Waiheke Artist in Residence (see our Exhibitions and Special Events pages for more information). In the great outdoors we champion such outstanding art events as Sculpture on the Gulf, Art Out There and An Evening in the Vineyard.
Entry into the gallery and its exhibitions is free and on each visit you will find something new and different to enjoy - a feast for the eyes and senses!

Walker & Hall Waiheke Art Award

The Walker & Hall Waiheke Art Award is a National Award for two dimension work.
The Prize is $5,000 with two Merit Awards of $1,000 each. This year's selector and judge is Professor Elizabeth Grierson.
The closing date for submissions is 8th September.
