Venetian Carnival Dinner

A celebration of our 2010 Artist in Residence is being held at the Mudbrick on Friday 30th July at 6:30pm. This is a fundraising celebration event which includes drinks and dinner, Artist in Residence 2010 Sarah Guppy will gild an aspect of the menu and there will be entertainment by Dust Palace performers. Matariki Exhibtions

We celebrate Matariki with "A Womans's work is never done" Responses from Fibre and Fashion Artists to "Maranga Ake": a celebration of wahine, and their tireless dedication to manakitanga, whanaungatanga, and to ensuring the continuity of traditions that weave themselves into place in a modern world. Curated by Jeanine Clarkin who creates Funky Urban Street Wear, the celebration features work by 20 different artists and will open with a live presentation as part of the opening night celebrations.

The Waiheke Winter Arts Festival

The first ever WAIHEKE WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL!
QUEENS BIRTHDAY WEEKEND 5-7 JUNE 2011.

Over the three days of Queens Birthday Weekend the very first Waiheke Winter Arts Festival is being held. This original and imaginative festival showcases the island’s creative edge.
Go behind the scenes; enjoy small studios, award–winning artists, artist talks, music, extraordinary installations, the Art Barn and Artist in Residence, galleries, art books, delectable treats and more. Move around at your own pace, enjoy Red Dot Deals and studio hospitality along the way.
Make a day of it (or two or three!), follow the Red Dots and enjoy this Waiheke Winter Arts Festival weekend.

Hidden Treasures

At the same time as Small Things, the Gallery presents 'Hidden Treasures'! - artworks from a range of artists on canvas in dyptych format. On the opening night all artworks will be presented closed and sealed with wax. On the ring of a bell at 6.15, the first bidder has the opportunity to crack the seal and reveal the treasure inside!
