Art Out There

The Waiheke Community Art Gallery in conjunction with the Sealink Jassy Dean Garden Safari proudly presents Art Out There 2009, another stunning exhibition of artwork for the outdoor environment.
Each year Art Out There sources a new and exciting range of sculptural work specifically designed for the home garden. The range of work includes ceramic, glass, carving, wind vanes and gardens seats along with touches of whimsy.
All works are for sale as this is an important fund raising event for the gallery and the Jassy Dean Trust.
Two hillside properties (Gardens 1 & 2) with views into Owhanake Bay and which are linked by a walking trail are the site for this year’s Art Out There event.
Join us for a special Opening Event Friday 6th November 5pm. in the gardens of the Owhanake Experience. Enjoy the new season's olive oils, wines and delicious nibbles. Tickets available at the gallery $30 per person.
Another special feature of this year’s event will be The Scarecrows Picnic – a community participation event where scarecrows built by children and families on Waiheke will be displayed. This is facilitated by Nora West, for more information please ring the gallery on 372 9907.
Art Out There has strong history, having won the coveted Judges’ Supreme Award at the 2004 Ellerslie Flower Show and also a Gold Medal in 2003.
